AFOX launched the RTX 4090 with a standard dual-slot design
While we have grown accustomed to witnessing RTX 4090 with three fans and three slots, a blower-cooled, dual-slot RTX 4090 can be deemed a rather rare apparatus. According to a report from Tom’s Hardware, graphics card manufacturer AFOX has recently unveiled such a graphics card.
The full designation of the graphics card is AFOX RTX 4090, model number AF4090-24GD6XH4. In terms of dimensions, it has a length of 266.5mm, marginally shorter than the RTX 4090 FE. Moreover, with its standard dual-slot design, it refrains from exceeding shoulder height, making it particularly conducive to compact casings, such as SFF specification casings commonly found in commercial desktops. The blower cooling makes it ideal for scenarios that necessitate the side-by-side installation of multiple graphics cards, suitable for equipment such as rendering farms. All things considered, the target user base for this card should predominantly comprise B2B customers such as businesses and studios.
As for clock and power consumption, considering that the AFOX RTX 4090 is more compact than the RTX 4090 FE, these parameters are in alignment with the public version, with a base clock of 2230MHz, a boost clock of 2520MHz, and a power consumption of 450W. It features a 12VHPWR interface. However, the recommended power supply for a single card remains 850W or higher. In terms of video output, the AFOX RTX 4090 is equipped with three DP and one HDMI interface, consistent with most current graphics cards.
AFOX has yet to disclose the price of this graphics card. It is worth noting that Yuanfu Technology, established in 2008, operates as a related enterprise of the Foxconn Group and independently manages the AFOX brand devices. In addition to graphics cards, they also design and manufacture motherboards, memory, hard drives, power supplies, and other PC hardware.
