Xiaomi launches new flagship Mi AX9000 Gaming Wi-Fi Router
Xiaomi recently announced the launch of a new flagship WiFi 6 router Xiaomi AX9000. According to Xiaomi, this belongs to the flagship router to provide support for gamers.
The AX9000 has not changed much in terms of hardware parameters compared with the previous version. The feature of this router is a 5G frequency band dedicated to games, that is, an additional 5G frequency band is added to the 2.4G and 5G frequency bands specifically for playing mobile games and so on.
At present, most new routers have standard Gigabit Ethernet ports and no longer use 100M Ethernet ports. The AX9000 also has an additional 2.5G network port to provide faster speeds.
This is good news for NAS users or users who set up servers at home. A faster network port helps to continue to increase the transmission speed of the LAN.
The router also supports the WiFi 6 standard, so up to 1000 devices can be connected, and WiFi 6 can continue to increase the data throughput of the wireless network.
In terms of processor, the Xiaomi router AX9000 sports a 14nm Qualcomm six-core flagship chip with a computing power of 20240 DMIPS, and it also has a dual-core network acceleration engine. The processor has 4 A53 cores, clocked at 2.2GHz. The attached 1GB memory can basically meet the needs of professional users.
The Xiaomi AX9000 router is priced at 999 yuan ($152) and has been booked on Xiaomi’s official website.
