Wunderlist will shut down on May 6 next year
In 2015, Microsoft acquired 6Wunderkinder, a Wunderlist application developer, with a transaction price between $ 100 million and $ 200 million. After that, Microsoft launched its own task management application To Do, which also meant that Wunderlist gradually faded out of the user. In a blog post released today, Microsoft stated that the old version of the Wunderlist application will be discontinued on May 6, 2020, and users are recommended to upgrade to To Do app as soon as possible.
Since being acquired in 2015, Microsoft has gradually migrated the outstanding features of Wunderlist to its own applications, so the update of Wunderlist is not basically at a need. Before May 6, 2020, users can still use Wunderlist normally to import tasks into the To Do application. However, starting today, Wunderlist will no longer accept new user registrations; it will no longer be synchronized after May 6 next year.
