Windows Core OS marks as the future of Windows 10 & Xbox

Microsoft is secretly developing Windows Core OS internally and is expected to replace the existing Windows 10 operating system in the future. Although Microsoft has yet to officially announce the project, Windows Core OS has been mentioned many times in official support documents and LinkedIn recruitment information. According to Microsoft engineers, Microsoft is developing Windows Core OS for Windows 10, Xbox and Windows Mixed Reality. And according to job introduction information on LinkedIn, future versions of Windows 10, HoloLens and Xbox will be based on Windows Core OS.

Microsoft engineers wrote in the recruitment needs:

“On the team building Windows Core OS: the foundation for future iterations of Windows 10, Windows Mixed Reality (HoloLens), and Xbox system software. Currently working on Windows 10X, the operating system for dual-screen PCs like the Surface Neo – available holiday 2020.”

What’s more interesting is that in the recruitment information, Windows Core OS will become the operating system of future versions of Xbox.
