Windows 10 version 2004 is fully compatible with Bluetooth 5.1

Windows 10 version 2004 is currently under development. According to Microsoft’s previous instructions, this version will be released around April to May.

However, some news pointed out that the RTM version has been produced and provided to OEM manufacturers. Microsoft has reserved a long time for testing.

It is interesting that this update will also bring new features that Microsoft has not revealed: that is, Windows 10 20H1 has received Bluetooth 5.1 compatibility certification.

Compared with the previous version, the Bluetooth version 5.1 protocol does not bring many new features. This version is a variety of optimizations and improvements based on 5.0.

Even so, this is worth looking forward to, because the compatibility of the new version of the protocol on Windows 10 can get the advantages brought by the enhanced attributes of GATT.

For example, the connection and pairing of a Bluetooth device are faster, the transmission speed is significantly improved, and the power consumption of the Bluetooth device can be reduced to extend the battery life.

The improvement of Bluetooth in Windows 10 itself is mainly a fast connection. Supported devices can automatically trigger Bluetooth and connect when they are close to the computer.
