Why your PC isn’t Windows 11 ready?
Windows 11 has been officially announced recently. At the same time, Microsoft provides a testing tool called “PC Health Check” to help users confirm whether the computer meets the upgrade requirements. However, the user experience of this tool is not satisfactory to most users. For example, the computer does not meet the upgrade requirements, but it does not tell you exactly where the conditions are not met, or provide relevant guidance, and sometimes even run errors.
To this end, the developer wrote a tool to replace PC Health Check that is called WhyNotWin11 and hosted it to GitHub for open source. Although it is called a tool, it is actually a script in essence. If you want to build from source code, you need to operate it in AutoIt.
As the name implies, “WhyNotWin11” can not only detect whether the computer meets the requirements for upgrading to Windows 11, but also provide specific reasons why the upgrade conditions are not met. The general operating process of WhyNotWin11 is that it checks the upgrade conditions of the computer according to all the relevant standards listed by Microsoft, and it will also keep up with the changes in Microsoft’s standards.
