WD Blue SN580 NVMe SSD

The WD Blue SN580 NVMe SSD is the first in Western Digital’s Blue product line to support nCache 4.0 technology and NVMe PCIe 4.0 standards. It adopts a single-sided chip design, offering capacities ranging from 250GB to 2TB. Due to its low-power storage design with no DRAM, it can significantly prolong battery life when used in mobile devices, thereby enabling users to maintain uninterrupted creativity at work or while traveling.

The new SSD uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, has an M.2 2280 form factor, and utilizes BiCS 5 112-layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory, just like the WD_Blue SN570. However, the maximum sequential read/write speed is increased from 3500 MB/s to 4150 MB/s, the maximum random write is also improved from 600K IOPS to 750K IOPS, reaching up to 900TBW.

Western Digital states that the WD_Blue SN580 NVMe SSD can be purchased from the official store, retailers, e-retailers, distributors, and system integrators. It comes with a five-year limited warranty, with the 1TB and 2TB versions priced at $49.99 and $109.99, respectively.
