Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla will reach End Of Life in July
Canonical recently announced that Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla will reach End Of Life on July 22, 2021. Since this version is a version between the long-term support (LTS) versions, it only has a nine-month support period.
In order to assist users in upgrading the system, Canonical also issued a guide, which contains all the things you need to know and operate when upgrading to a new version of the system. Users who are currently running this specific version of Ubuntu 20.10 need to upgrade their systems to Ubuntu 21.04 Hirsute Hippo as soon as possible. Ubuntu 21.04 will be released in April this year. In addition, users can also update the system to the Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS version, which will continue to be updated until 2025.
After July 22, users who have installed Ubuntu 20.10 can still use their devices, but will not receive important security updates. Over time, this will only increase the security risk of the device.
