Twitter CEO reveals payment, online banking-related services coming next

Following the announcement of Twitter’s brand-new ‘X’ logo, CEO Linda Yaccarino has further disclosed upcoming initiatives pertaining to payment and online banking services, evidently striving to actualize Elon Musk’s vision of transforming Twitter into a multifaceted utility.

According to reports by CNBC, Yaccarino asserts that Twitter’s user engagement is at an all-time high, and plans are underway to augment Twitter’s services with audio, video, and message transmission, along with payment and banking experiences, thereby cultivating an innovative growth paradigm.

Such a proclamation dovetails perfectly with Elon Musk’s earlier aspiration to metamorphose Twitter into a multifunctional platform akin to WeChat, inclusive of financial transaction capabilities, thereby enhancing Twitter’s user retention and becoming an indispensable part of daily life for its users.

Preceding this, Twitter indeed submitted the relevant applications in the United States, but the executive initially responsible for the applications left earlier this year in February. Although Yaccarino asserts that the application process has been resumed, she has yet to disclose any specific details concerning its progress.
