Twitter and Facebook announced to delete Trump’s speech video
Yesterday night the social network giants Facebook and Twitter simultaneously announced an emergency, and these social network platforms subsequently deleted the video of Trump’s speech.
Trump’s speech video was questioned to encourage threats and violence. This content violates user rules and therefore cannot be posted even by the President of the United States.
Trump released a video to encourage these people’s behavior, even if the capture of the U.S. Capitol buildings and Congress is violent, Trump is still advocating such behavior.
When Trump’s video was released, Twitter and Facebook immediately restricted the video and then deleted it. The platform said that Trump violated the platform’s user rules.
Twitter stated that it strictly restricts the interaction of tweets due to the risk of violence, and flagged tweets neither support forwarding nor support until other measures are taken.
However, Twitter subsequently restricted the Trump account to function. If Trump does not delete the violent tweets posted within twelve hours, it will not be able to operate.
Facebook also stated that it implements a similar policy. As long as Trump does not take the initiative to delete content with a risk of violence, the account will be frozen and cannot post new posts.
At present, Joe Biden has won the US election and will become the next president. Trump, who is about to leave the White House, still does not admit defeat and believes that the election is fraudulent.
