Trump responds to the SolarWinds supply chain attack
The supply chain attack encountered by the SolarWinds software company is still investigating. The SolarWinds supply chain attack affected many well-known American technology companies and US government agencies, and there was a serious risk of leakage of confidential information.
Although the media reported that many security companies also analyzed a lot, Trump seemed not to care. Trump pointedly pointed out that fake news media deliberately exaggerated the severity.
“The Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality,” Trump wrote. “I have been fully briefed and everything is well under control. Russia, Russia, Russia is the priority chant when anything happens because Lamestream is, for mostly financial reasons, petrified of discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!).”
After the security company pointed the source of the attack to the Russian hacker group, Trump even said that any accident first suspected Russia but it could also be China.
In fact, when Microsoft and the cybersecurity company FireEye released their investigation reports, they have repeatedly hinted that the attack is potentially related to the Russian hacker group.
Even FireEye hinted that the Russian hacker group that launched the attack was funded by the Russian government. Of course, Russian officials have responded that there is no such thing.
Microsoft hinted that the Russian hacker group has launched multiple similar attacks. Judging from the existing evidence, the attack can be linked to a known hacker group.
The attack on the SolarWinds supply chain has affected well-known technology companies in many countries around the world. Governments of various countries are currently investigating whether they are affected by this attack. Even so, Trump is still saying that everything is under control, and the fake news media knows to exaggerate.
