There are ways to apply AMD FSR to almost all Vulkan games in the Linux environment

Recently, AMD fulfilled its open-source promise when it went online and put the source code, development documents, and examples of FidelityFX Super Resolution on the AMD GPUOpen website. Whether game developers or players, the enthusiasm for FidelityFX Super Resolution is relatively high. Recently, more games support FidelityFX Super Resolution, such as “Necromunda: Hired Gun – Hunter’s Bounty Pack” and “Eternal Edge” can support both DLSS and FidelityFX Super Resolution, giving players more choices. Arcadegeddon supports FidelityFX Super Resolution on both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms, allowing everyone to see the broader prospects of FidelityFX Super Resolution on home console platforms.

Microsoft has integrated FidelityFX Super Resolution into the Xbox Game Development Kit (GDK), which supports platforms including Windows, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox One(X). I believe many game developers will follow up soon. In addition, the Unity engine will support FidelityFX Super Resolution in the upcoming 2021.2b version, and Unreal Engine 4 also provides a support patch.

However, for some old games, game developers may not follow up, but folks are not idle. For example, “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Assetto Corsa” already have MODs that support FidelityFX Super Resolution. However, these technical experts are not satisfied with this. Recently, they have found a way to apply FidelityFX Super Resolution to almost all Vulkan games (including dxvk and vkd3d-proton) in the Linux environment. It has been posted on GitHub. The developer said that although it is not perfect, it is impressive enough by itself.
