The Samsung Galaxy S22 series continues to implement the concept of environmental protection
Today, Samsung announced that in an effort to combine sustainability and innovation, it has developed a new material made from discarded fishing nets that will be incorporated into various Galaxy devices, giving ocean plastics new life. Samsung believes the use of the new material marks another step in Galaxy for the Planet’s journey to help the Galaxy community foster a more sustainable lifestyle by minimizing its environmental footprint.
Samsung says the first products to use the new material will be the Galaxy devices shown at “Galaxy Unpacked 2022,” which is almost certain to be the upcoming Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. According to Samsung, it plans to expand the use of eco-friendly materials in products and packaging in the future, including recyclable post-consumer materials (PCM) and recycled paper. Samsung wants to address ocean plastic pollution in a way that has a positive impact on life, taking action to provide a better environment for future generations, while achieving more visible results in its journey to protect the planet.
Since the Galaxy S22 series will be equipped with Samsung’s latest Exynos 2200, this year’s products have received special attention. It is manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm EUV process and is equipped with a Samsung Xclipse graphics processing unit based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture, as well as Arm-based CPU cores and an upgraded NPU (Neural Processing Unit).
