The public version of the NVIDIA RTX 40 series has been reduced in price in Europe
The public version of the NVIDIA RTX 40 series has been reduced in price in Europe. The European price of the public version of the GeForce RTX 4090 has been reduced from €1859 to €1819, representing a decrease of 7%. Similarly, the European price of the public version of the GeForce RTX 4080 has been reduced from €1469 to €1399, representing a decrease of 5%. Furthermore, non-public versions of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti have also been subject to a certain degree of price reduction.
According to videocardz, the price reduction of the public version of the RTX 4090 is a positive development. When the public version of the RTX 4090 was initially launched in the European market, it was priced at €1949 and has not undergone significant changes since then. However, currently, all three models of the RTX 40 series can be found in the European market at prices lower than the suggested retail price (MSRP), including the public version of the RTX 4080, which was originally priced at €1399 and has now been discounted by 5%. Additionally, the price of non-public versions of the RTX 4080 has even come down to €1229, which is only 16% lower than MSRP.

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition: €1959 → €1819 (-7%)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition: €1469 → €1399 (-5%)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Custom: €1469 → €1229 (-16%)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Custom: €899 → €875 (-3%)
At the GTC 2022 “GeForce Beyond” special event held at the end of September 2022, NVIDIA announced the release of the GeForce RTX 40 series GPU based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, which incorporates TSMC’s custom 4nm process, as well as new technologies such as the third-generation RTX ray tracing architecture and DLSS 3 to significantly enhance performance.
