The AMD SCSI driver caused a blue screen of death in Windows 10
On the official Microsoft forum, a large number of users reported that the AMD SCSI Adapter 9.3.0.221 driver pushed by the company caused the system to have a blue screen of death.
In view of a large number of users using AMD processors, this issue has a wide range of impacts. After receiving user feedback, Microsoft also quickly withdrew the driver from the update center.
This driver was developed by AMD and pushed through the Microsoft Update Center, but according to Microsoft’s rules, the new driver should be pushed after two rounds of testing.
Obviously, neither Microsoft nor AMD found this problem in the two rounds of testing, which caused a wide range of blue screen crashes after being directly pushed to users.
In the official Microsoft forum, some users said that the driver was automatically installed by the system. After the installation was completed, the system immediately displayed a blue screen of death and automatically restarted.
The full name of the driver is Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. – SCSIAdapter – 9.3.0.221, error code INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
The system automatically restarts after a blue screen of death and enters the Windows RE interface to try an automatic repair. Some users can recover by rolling back in the automatic repair.
However, most users are stuck in the infinite loop of the repair interface and cannot successfully enter the system. In particular, users of Gigabyte X570 motherboards have a higher probability of encountering this problem.
In view of the serious impact of this problem, Microsoft has quickly withdrawn the driver after receiving user feedback, but users who have already installed it still need to find a way to uninstall it.
