Tesla’s third-generation home battery pack Powerwall 3 will be launched soon
According to reports, Tesla is preparing to release its third-generation home battery pack, the Powerwall 3. The new product is expected to feature upgraded energy storage and installation methods, as well as an updated appearance.
Electrek website obtained information indicating that Tesla has begun providing certification for its Powerwall 3 energy storage product to power companies in the United States. It is expected that the product will be used in conjunction with the power grid and will provide users with an uninterrupted power supply during emergencies.
However, Tesla has not yet listed the name or details of the Powerwall 3 product on its official website. Seth Winger, Tesla’s Senior Manager of Solar Product Engineering, previously revealed that the installation of the new generation of energy storage products will be easier, and the appearance will be more minimalist while providing better energy storage performance.
Tesla first introduced the Powerwall energy storage product in 2015, mainly for storing emergency power for residential use. In case of power outages, it can maintain normal household electricity use and even send power back to the public power grid if necessary, ensuring the operation of nearby public transportation, traffic signals, road lighting, and other systems.
