Team Group Released ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 6400MHz High-Speed Desktop Memory Modules

Team Group has announced the launch of its new ELITE DDR5 and ELITE PLUS DDR5 desktop memory, adhering to the DDR5-6400 specification as per JEDEC standards, to meet the computational demands of high-performance PCs requiring higher frequencies.

Team Group’s ELITE DDR5 memory is among the earliest DDR5 memories on the market, bare modules without heat spreaders, launched in June 2021 and hitting the e-commerce platforms in July of the same year, earlier than Intel’s Alder Lake release. Subsequently, in its 2022 ELITE PLUS DDR5 memory, Team Group incorporated an all-new heat spreader. The symmetrical aluminum heat sink design enhances memory cooling efficiency and offers scratch-resistance, acid-resistance, rust-resistance, and non-conductivity, thus providing comprehensive protection. The same design approach has been extended to these new DDR5-6400 specification products.

DDR5 memory features a Power Management IC (PMIC), moving power management from the motherboard to the memory, and optimizing load handling. An improved architecture escalates from 16 Bank in DDR4 memory to 32 Bank, doubling the available access. The IC incorporates an On-die ECC error correction mechanism capable of self-repairing DRAM units, thereby enhancing stability. Compared to the 1.2V operating voltage of DDR4 memory, DDR5 memory is reduced to 1.1V, further lowering power consumption per bandwidth.

Team Group states that the first batch of new ELITE DDR5 and ELITE PLUS DDR5 desktop memory will offer 16GB, 32GB, 16GB x2, and 32GB x2 specification products, all with an operating voltage of 1.1V and timing of CL52-52-52-103, in compliance with JEDEC standard specifications. Team Group announces that the new products will be first available on North American Amazon and Taiwanese e-commerce platforms like PChome, Momo, and Shopee, around August 2023.
