Sony launches INZONE Buds gaming earbuds, and INZONE H5 wireless headphones
In recent years, Sony appears to have deepened its foray into the PC gaming realm, amplifying its investments. Last year, they introduced the “INZONE” brand, tailored for PC enthusiasts, offering a range of gaming peripherals. The initial lineup featured the M9 and M3 monitors, complemented by the H9, H7, and H3 headphones. This time, Sony has enriched their portfolio with the debut of the INZONE Buds and the INZONE H5 headphones.
The INZONE Buds, wireless earbuds meticulously crafted for gamers, are available in both monochromatic black and pristine white. They are engineered to optimize battery longevity and minimize audio transmission latency. They boast an AI noise-cancellation microphone and intuitive touch controls. These earbuds are compatible with the PlayStation 5, PCs, and mobile devices, offering a 360° gaming spatial audio experience. They promise up to 12 hours of battery life, and when connected via a USB-C adapter, latency can be reduced to under 30ms. Additionally, the INZONE Buds support low-energy Bluetooth LE audio, making them particularly beneficial for users with high-end Android systems.
Regrettably, the INZONE Buds fall short as they lack support for the PlayStation Link technology. As a result, they are incompatible with the PlayStation Portal due to the absence of Bluetooth connectivity, precluding them from pairing with controllers. For gamers with such specific requirements, the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore headphones might be apt alternatives.
Sony also unveiled the INZONE H5 headphones, equipped with 360° gaming spatial audio, offering precise 3D audio positioning. They utilize a 2.4GHz wireless connection and also provide an optional 3.5mm jack. Weighing a mere 260 grams, they are designed with plush, contouring ear cushions and deliver an impressive 28-hour battery life, accompanied by an AI noise-cancellation microphone.
The INZONE Buds are priced at $199.99, while the INZONE H5 headphones retail for $149.99.
