Cooler Master releases GM2711S gaming monitor

Cooler Master has unveiled its latest offering, the GM2711S gaming monitor. The GM2711S presents itself with a minimalist aesthetic, featuring ultra-thin bezels on three sides. At its heart lies an exquisite 27-inch IPS panel from AU Optronics, offering panoramic viewing angles of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically. With an aspect ratio of 16:9, the display boasts a QHD/2K resolution (2560 x 1440), and a refresh rate that scales up to an impressive 180Hz. The monitor further promises a rapid response time (GtG) of 2ms, a peak luminance of 350 nits, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and 91% coverage of the Adobe RGB spectrum. Additionally, it is equipped with a backlight mode tailored to minimize flicker and motion blur and offers adaptive sync VRR support, compatible with both NVIDIA and AMD.

For the GM2711S, Cooler Master has judiciously selected a panel that incorporates AU Optronics’ state-of-the-art Advanced Reflectionless Technology (A.R.T). This allows manufacturers to craft a display that is virtually devoid of reflections, ensuring anti-glare and anti-reflective characteristics. Such a technology adeptly reduces glare and reflections, dimming the GM2711S’s brightness by 20%, all the while retaining its perceivable luminosity. As per official statements from AU Optronics, this innovative approach to panel processing can lead to a reduction in power consumption by a staggering 60%.

In terms of connectivity, the GM2711S gaming monitor is generously equipped with dual HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 interface, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In a nod to modern convenience, it also features a hub, providing two USB-A ports. Ergonomically designed, its stand offers a plethora of adjustments including height modulation, horizontal swivel, tilt flexibility, and vertical rotation.

Anticipation builds as the Cooler Master GM2711S gaming monitor is slated for release in early 2024, with a price tag of $299.
