Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Plus version revealed

According to NOTEBOOKCHECK and WinFuture, mere days after unveiling the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, Samsung rejuvenated its Galaxy Tab A series. While the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series is poised as a cost-effective alternative to Samsung’s flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab A9 series epitomizes the brand’s entry-level offerings, thereby exuding modest specifications in terms of performance, display, memory, and storage capacities.

In terms of the SOC, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is fortified with the MediaTek Helio G99, identical to the OnePlus Pad Go, whereas the Galaxy Tab A9+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G. Both processors boast theoretical performances in close quarters, with each sporting eight cores and clocking a peak CPU frequency of 2.2GHz. Nonetheless, they both trail behind the prowess of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE’s Exynos 1380. As for the operating system, both tablets come pre-installed with Android 13, anticipated to be draped in the One UI 5.1 interface.

Display-wise, both offerings harness LCD screens. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 showcases an 8.7-inch display with a resolution of 1,340 x 800, while its counterpart, the Galaxy Tab A9+, flaunts an 11-inch screen featuring a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, complemented by a 90Hz refresh rate.

Delving into the memory and storage specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is exclusively available in a 4GB+64GB variant. In contrast, the Galaxy Tab A9+ broadens its horizons with both 4GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB versions, reinforcing their positioning as entry-level devices.

As per WinFuture’s dispatch, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has already graced the markets of Guatemala and the UAE, priced at 1,499 Canadian dollars and 699 UAE dirhams respectively. Furthermore, Samsung is on the brink of launching the Galaxy Tab A9 in Europe. The precise release date for the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus remains cloaked in mystery. However, rumors suggest a starting price of 220 euros for the Wi-Fi-only version, while its 5G counterpart may command a price of 260 euros.
