Rumor: Intel will release Raptor Lake on September 27
AMD today released a new generation of Ryzen 7000 series desktop CPUs based on the Zen 4 architecture, as well as a new AM5 platform that will support PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory. Although AMD has already released new products one step ahead, Intel will soon fight back and bring Raptor Lake-S, which is the 13th generation Core desktop CPU.
Recently, Twitter user @wxnod exposed an e-commerce sales planning slide of Intel’s 13th generation Core desktop CPU, which lists the time and platform of each stage. It is speculated that the release time of the 13th generation Core desktop CPU and Z790 chipset may be in the early morning of September 27, 2022. At this point in time, Intel is hosting the “Intel Innovation” summit in San Jose, California, with keynote speeches from CEO Pat Gelsinger and CTO Greg Lavender.
The starting lineup will be models with “K” and “KF” suffixes. They are Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K, Core i5-13600K, Core i9-13900KF, Core i7-13700KF, and Core i5-13600KF, as well as new Z790 motherboards from major board manufacturers.
