Razer releases new version of Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor

Razer announced the launch of its new gaming monitor, the new version of the Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor.

Previously, Razer’s display product line had only launched one product, the Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor released in 2019. It uses a 2.3mm ultra-narrow bezel design, a 27-inch 16:9 IPS panel, 8-bit+FRC (jitter 10Bit), a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a refresh rate of 144Hz, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, supports HDR400 and also supports Nvidia G-Sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync.

The new version of the Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor retains the design elements of the old version while adding the FreeSync Premium function of low frame rate compensation technology, increasing the refresh rate to 165Hz, and has passed the THX certification. The new version of the Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor has also become the first PC monitor to obtain THX certification, which requires more than 400 separate tests to ensure the accuracy of colors, tones, and images in order to obtain excellent picture quality.

In terms of display output, it is equipped with 1 HDMI 2.0b, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1Type A, 1 USB Type C supporting DP1.4 alternative mode, and 1 3.5 mm headphone jack. Among them, the USB Type C interface supports USB Power Delivery, which can quickly charge mobile devices. The base of this monitor has a very clever cable organizer. In addition, Razer Chroma RGB lighting effects are added to the bottom three sides of the base, which can be controlled by Razer’s Synapse 3 software.

For greater flexibility, Razer also released the Raptor VESA, which can be sold separately. With this accessory, users can mount the monitor on a VESA-compatible stand.
The new Razer Raptor 27 gaming monitor will be available in the third quarter of 2021, with a suggested retail price of $799.99/€999.99. Raptor VESA will be sold exclusively on Razer.com, with a suggested retail price of US$99.99/€99.99.
