After announcing the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor this year, Qualcomm will likely launch a new processor called the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1, perhaps as soon as the Snapdragon Tech Summit is held in November this year.
According to the relevant news, the new processor named Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 will use the SM7475 model name and maintain triple clusters design. The operating clocks of the prime core and the gold core are both designed at 2.4GHz while the silver ones will run at 1.80GHz. Like the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor launched this year, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 processor is also mass-produced using TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process.
As for the core architecture design, it is expected that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 processor will still use the Arm Cortex-A710 CPU and Cortex-A510 CPU as the performance core and the efficiency core configuration, respectively. As for the main core design, it may be replaced by a Cortex-X CPU or a CPU design with a higher operating clock.
In addition, Qualcomm will also announce the new Snapdragon 8 series processors at the Snapdragon Tech Summit, which may be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but the specific details are still subject to the actual announcement by Qualcomm.
