Qualcomm China announced earlier that it will hold a Snapdragon Night event on May 20. It is expected to reveal the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which has been rumored a few days ago and may even reveal the enhanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor at the same time.
According to previous sources, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor is built on Samsung’s 4nm EUV process. It consists of 4 sets of Arm Cortex-A710 CPUs with an operating clock of 2361MHz, and 4 sets of Cortex-A510 CPUs with an operating clock of 1804MHz, and is equipped with an Adreno 662 GPU.
As for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, it will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor launched at the end of last year, but it is expected to switch from Samsung’s 4nm EUV process to TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process technology. The “1+3+4” core configuration is still maintained, and one set of Cortex X2 CPUs is maintained, with three sets of Cortex-A710 CPUs and four sets of Cortex-A510 CPUs, the computing performance will be improved by about 10%.
It is not yet possible to confirm the specific details of these two processors, but it is expected that brands including Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and other brands will use this processor to make smartphone products.
