Qualcomm announced the establishment of a $100 million Snapdragon Metaverse Fund
Qualcomm announced the launch of the Snapdragon Metaverse Fund, which will invest $100 million in developers and companies to create unique immersive XR experiences and associated AR and AI technologies. Qualcomm plans to provide funding and services to XR experience developers across industries through funding programs from Qualcomm Ventures and Qualcomm Technologies.
In addition, Qualcomm announced a partnership with Square Enix to create XR experiences for the latter’s worldwide network of studios and intellectual property. The advanced technologies division of Square Enix will push the boundaries of immersive gaming experiences through a partnership with Qualcomm, powered by the Snapdragon Spaces XR developer platform.
