Previously, PowerColor released a preview of the new Radeon RX 7900 Liquid Devil series on its Twitter account. Like the previous generation of the Radeon RX 6800/6900 Liquid Devil series, this new card continues to use EK’s water block.
Recently, CornerJack from Overclocking.com shared the first real photos of the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil. It can be clearly seen that a new customized version of the EK water block is adopted, which is different from the recently released EK-Quantum Vector2 RX 7900 water block. It covers the GPU, video memory, and VRM power supply module on the graphics card, and the attached full-coverage custom backplane can also enhance heat dissipation.
Although there is currently only a Liquid Devil graphics card featuring the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, PowerColor may still launch a Radeon RX 7900 XT product. CornerJack also confirmed that Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil is equipped with three 8Pin external power supply interfaces, which means that it is likely to have the same PCB design as the Red Devil series with a three-fan air-cooled heat dissipation design.
The Radeon RX 7900 Liquid Devil series is likely to use the same 12+3+2 phase power supply design as the Red Devil series. In addition, the exclusive power supply for 2+2 phase video memory is equipped with three 8Pin external power supply interfaces, providing dual BIOS functions. The target users of the Liquid Devil series graphics cards are those water-cooled enthusiasts who pursue high performance. Even though the Red Devil series graphics cards have similar performance, they also hope to have better cooling effects. Since PowerColor will provide the best-quality GPU chip for the entire Devil series product line, there is no need to worry about the clock, and it should have a higher factory clock.
CornerJack did not provide further details. Since the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil has begun to be sent to some media and overclocking players, it may not take too long to see the relevant benchmark results.
