Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold are expected to be unveiled at Google I/O 2023
Rumors suggest that Google intends to unveil the Pixel 7a, priced at $499, during this year’s Google I/O 2023 event. The long-awaited foldable-screen phone, Pixel Fold, is expected to retail at $1,799.
The Pixel 7a will continue the design elements of the Pixel 7 series and will be available in Charcoal Black, Snow White, Ocean Blue, and an exclusive Coral Red for Google Store customers. The recommended retail price is $499, a $50 increase compared to last year’s Pixel 6a.
Specifications include a 64-megapixel wide-angle main camera, paired with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a Google-designed Tensor G2 processor. The device will feature a 90Hz screen refresh rate and newly added wireless charging capabilities.
The Pixel 7a is anticipated to be unveiled on May 10th during Google I/O 2023 and will be available for purchase through the Google Store on the same day. Following the Pixel 7a’s launch, the Pixel 6a is expected to remain on the market, targeting various consumer groups with adjusted pricing.
As for the foldable screen Pixel Fold, it will be priced at $1,799 and is expected to be announced alongside the Pixel 7a. Pre-orders will be available exclusively through the Google Store on the same day, with carrier plans becoming available on May 30th. The device will officially hit the market on June 27th.
