Photoshop CC releases an emergency security update to fix RCE vulnerabilities
Adobe uses Microsoft’s fixed monthly date to publish routine updates, but sometimes it can only be released if there is a severe problem. Adobe has released emergency security updates for Photoshop CC 2017 18.1.5 and earlier, 2018 19.1.5 and earlier.
Because the above versions were found to have CVE-2018-12810 and CVE-2018-12811 vulnerabilities, the vulnerability level was listed as a significant level by ADOBE.
An attacker could exploit a vulnerability to cause a memory leak and then a remote attack. This vulnerability affects Photoshop software on Windows and macOS.
Repair method:
Users who have paid to purchase or subscribe to the ADOBE software can log in to their subscription account directly through Adobe Creative Cloud to see the update.
Users who modify the DLL file should restore the original DLL file and then register it with Adobe Creative Cloud to try it out.
After the update, modify the DLL file again. Of course, if you feel troublesome, you can uninstall PS directly and download the new version from ADOBE for installation.
