Philips and MSI released new curved displays with 165Hz refresh rate and built-in KVM

Philips recently released a 49-inch ultra-wide curved screen display Brilliance 498P9Z, if users have enough space, the display can replace two conventional 27-inch displays, suitable for games players that require an ultra-widescreen size and high refresh rate.

Philips Brilliance 498P9Z uses a 49-inch VA panel with a 32 to 9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 5120 x 1440, a curvature of 1800R, a response time of 4ms, a refresh rate of 165Hz, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Its Adobe RGB color gamut is 89%, DCI-P3 is 91%, NTSC color gamut is 100%, sRGB color gamut is 122%, Delta E is less than 2, and it has obtained DisplayHDR 400 certification.
In terms of ports, it provides 1×DP 1.4 and 3×HDMI 2.0 inputs, is equipped with a four-port USB 3.2 hub, with two upstream ports to connect two hosts, and supports fast charging. The monitor is equipped with a multifunctional stand to adjust the height, inclination, and rotation, a built-in KVM function, and two 5W stereo speakers. Philips has not announced the price for the time being, it is expected to be around $1,000.

According to TechPowerUp reports, MSI also released two curved surface gaming monitors, belonging to the ARTYMIS product line, 323CQR, and 273CQR, which also use VA panels. Its resolution is 2560×1440, the curvature is 1000R, response time is 1ms, refresh rate is 165Hz, supports HDR 400, supports Smart Brightness 2.0 technology, can detect ambient light and automatically adjust the brightness and color temperature of the display.

ARTYMIS 323CQR and 273CQR have built-in KVM functions and provide an earphone hanger and cable organizer. The bracket can be adjusted in height (0-100 mm), inclination (-5° to 20°), and rotation (-75° to 75°), players can easily adjust to their most comfortable position. MSI has not announced the prices of these two new products, but they will be available in July.
