Password manager Firefox Lockwise will reach end of support on December 13
In 2018, Mozilla launched Lockbox, an independent password manager. This free password manager can be synchronized across platforms through Firefox accounts. The password manager supports filling through the Firefox browser on the desktop platform, and can automatically fill any browser for Android and iOS devices on the mobile terminal. Later, this password manager was renamed and became an extension of Firefox. After being integrated into the Firefox browser, this independent password manager will also come to an end.
Mozilla recently announced that Firefox LockWise will reach the end of support on December 13th. After the support is stopped, it can be used temporarily but can no longer be downloaded or installed. As for the content saved in it, don’t worry, users can still access the account and password in Firefox after synchronizing through the Firefox account.
“Firefox for iOS will already sync your saved Lockwise passwords. You can currently only use those inside Firefox. Check back for updates in December 2021 on how to use Firefox for iOS as your system-wide password manager.”
