Opera 65 releases: improved tracker blocker and redesigned address bar

In the latest release of the Opera 65 version, the tracker feature introduced in the 64 version is further enhanced, providing fine-grained control options for users to see what the tracker has blocked and so on. In addition, the bookmark sidebar has been improved in the new version.

The tracker blocker relies on the EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection List. Similar to Opera’s native ad blocker, it has a list of known tracker scripts and blocks them. Once switched on, the tracker blocker can speed up page loading by roughly 20 percent. It also increases your level of privacy. Coupled with our built-in ad blocker, the speed gain can reach up to 76 percent.

In addition to the improved tracker blocking feature, Opera 65 continues to deepen the UI design elements to bring a redesigned address bar. When you use the address bar, the web page you are currently using will be dimmed to provide visual clarity when searching. The layout of the drop-down menu has also changed – now the site title is displayed first, then the hyperlink is displayed, providing a clear overview of browsing history suggestions, bookmarks and speed dial elements.
