NVIDIA releases GeForce Game Ready 496.76 WHQL driver

Today Nvidia released the GeForce Game Ready 496.76 WHQL driver, which will provide support for DLSS 2.3. At the same time, the recently popular game Battlefield 2042 is optimized, through NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex, to maximize performance and reduce latency.

In addition, the new Game Ready driver will also optimize the latest games using DLSS technology, including Assetto Corsa Competizione, Bright Memory: Infinite, Elder Scrolls Online, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Jurassic World Evolution 2, Farming Simulator 22, Hot Wheels Unleashed and Myth of Empires.
This version of the driver will also update the imaging technology NVIDIA Image Scaling (NIS). Over the past two years, NVIDIA has been providing driver-based spatial scaling algorithms through the NVIDIA control panel to provide sharpening and scaling for all games. With the latest Game Ready driver, Nvidia has updated the sharpening and zooming algorithms and is easier to access through GeForce Experience.

The new algorithm adds four-direction scaling and adaptive sharpening, which is more advanced than the previous spatial scaling algorithm and supports all GPUs after the Maxwell architecture. NVIDIA Image Scaling does not require the support of games, it is a set of general calculation methods. Nvidia also released the NIS open-source SDK, which is made public on GitHub, so that game developers can integrate it into the game. In theory, NVIDIA Image Scaling can provide cross-platform GPU support, supporting recent AMD and Intel discrete graphics cards.
