In March this year, Nvidia officially released the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, the most high-end GeForce RTX 30 series. Since in the previous generation of products, Nvidia named the suffix of the updated model “SUPER” instead of “Ti”, many people once thought that the Ampere architecture would be the same.
Recently, some users on the
NGA forum said that they bought a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition in the second-hand market. However, its appearance is different from the normal GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition. The metal frame of the heatsink is black instead of the silver of the normal GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition, with the words “RTX 3090 SUPER” on it. In GPU-Z, the card still shows up as a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, with the same BIOS version.
Nvidia’s plans for the GeForce RTX 30 series were once confusing. For example, it was rumored that it planned to launch the GeForce RTX 3080 20GB, which was also confirmed on an MSI Ventus 3X OC series graphics card recently purchased by netizens.
The original official suggested retail price of the
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti was $1,999, but it has dropped to around $1,100 recently. As the release time of NVIDIA’s new-generation, Ada Lovelace architecture GPU is getting closer and closer, in order to digest a large number of GA102 stocks as soon as possible, there may be further price cuts.
