Nintendo Switch cumulative sales surpass PS4 in North America
Nintendo Switch has been selling well since its release, and Nintendo does not need to increase sales through promotions such as price cuts. Previously, Nintendo officially stated that the Nintendo Switch has come to the mid-point of its lifecycle.
The NPD Group said the North American gaming industry had a solid month, with players spending $4.3 billion on games, accessories, and hardware, down 8 percent year over year, though hardware sales rose 16 percent year over year. The Nintendo Switch took the top spot, followed by the Xbox Series X/S, with the PlayStation 5, which was hit by a supply shortage, lagging behind its rivals. In terms of game sales, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga topped the list, beating the all-time hit Elden Ring, and MLB The Show 22 came in third.
