Netflix plans to launch N-Plus service, including podcasts, music, and more
Netflix plans to launch a new content service, N-Plus, which can provide Netflix-related behind-the-scenes production information, podcasts, film and television drama music, etc.
According to industry insiders, N-Plus can carry out deeper operations on Netflix’s original content. For example, users can build their own music playlists and put their favorite movies and TV dramas into an album, learn more from behind-the-scenes production information and give feedback.
After Disney and Paramount joined the streaming video track one after another, Netflix faced increasing competition. Netflix released its first-quarter financial report for fiscal 2021, showing that its revenue for the quarter was $7.163 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%; net profit was $1.707 billion, a year-on-year increase of 140.8%; earnings per share were $3.75, a year-on-year increase of 58%. However, its global paying users increased by 3.98 million, which was lower than last year’s 15.77 million, which was lower than market expectations. It is precise because of this that Netflix is increasing content construction in many ways.
