MSI’s 700 series motherboards support 192 GB DDR5 memory

Recently, MSI announced support for 48GB and 24GB DDR5 non-binary memory on Intel 700 and 600 series motherboards, including MEG, MPG, MAG, and PRO series products. That is to say, the maximum memory capacity of 4 DIMM motherboards can be increased to 192 GB, and the maximum memory capacity of 2 DIMM motherboards can be increased to 96 GB.

It can be seen that MSI has been committed to providing better performance and compatibility products and services for DIY enthusiasts. In addition, users do not need to update the motherboard BIOS to support 48GB memory modules. Simply install a new memory module and enjoy a more efficient system and increased productivity, especially for those multitasking gamers and users.

Not long ago, it was reported that Micron will launch a new generation of DDR5 memory modules. Micron’s new DDR5 memory will be optimized for Intel’s 13th generation Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, support XMP 3.0 and EXPO technology, and can automatically load the best configuration file to strike a balance between cost and performance. Among them, the single capacity of DDR5-5200 is 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, and the single capacity of DDR-5600 is not only the traditional 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, but also 24GB and 48GB are available for users to choose.

Now MSI has announced that its 700 and 600 series motherboards fully support all 13th and 12th generation processors (Raptor Lake and Alder Lake series) to match 48GB and 24GB DDR5, consumers will have more choices when 24 GB and 48 GB of DDR5 memory enter the market in the future.
