MSI releases SPATIUM M580 FROZR PCIe 5.0 SSD
MSI proudly announces the launch of the SPATIUM M580 FROZR, a cutting-edge PCIe 5.0 SSD equipped with an expansive tower heatsink and thermal pipes. MSI heralds this product as a redefinition of the benchmarks for speed and reliability in storage solutions, heralding a new era in storage performance.
The SPATIUM M580 FROZR utilizes the Phison E26 controller chip, paired with 232-layer 3D NAND flash, likely sourced from Micron. It boasts sequential read speeds of 14.6 GB/s and write speeds of 12.7 GB/s, effectively doubling the performance over traditional PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Enhanced by DRAM and SLC caching designs, this SSD elevates performance to meet the rigorous demands of gaming, content creation, and professional applications. Furthermore, the product is fortified with LPDC ECC and E2E data protection features, ensuring the integrity and reliability of data.
A notable feature of the SPATIUM M580 FROZR is its tower heatsink, which includes three thermal pipes and an abundance of aluminum fins, significantly expanding the surface area for air contact and thereby enhancing cooling capacity. MSI claims this design can reduce SSD working temperatures by over 20 degrees Celsius, maximizing performance and maintaining stable output even under heavy workloads.
Users can access comprehensive information about the SSD’s status through the MSI Center, including operational status, capacity used, and current working temperature. In collaboration with software manufacturer Actiphy, MSI offers a data backup function for all customers who purchase and install MSI SSDs.
The SPATIUM M580 FROZR is initially available in three capacities: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB, with MSI providing a five-year warranty. Pricing and specific release dates for the SPATIUM M580 FROZR have not yet been disclosed by MSI.
