MSI Launches RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SHADOW 3X OC GPU
MSI has recently launched a new graphics card on its website: the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SHADOW 3X OC. This model marks the inaugural offering of the Shadow series. The card features a deep brown shroud on the front, lending it a subtle and appealing look. Its design elements are largely consistent with those of the Ventus series, which also features a triple-fan setup. After comparing various specifications such as dimensions, operating frequencies, and power consumption, it is evident that this is essentially a recolored version of the Ventus series.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SHADOW 3X OC has dimensions of 308×120×43mm and is equipped with the NVIDIA AD103-275 GPU chip. It boasts 8,448 stream processors and an acceleration frequency of 2640MHz, which can be increased to 2655 MHz through MSI’s Extreme Performance mode in the MSI CENTER software. The default maximum power consumption is 285W. This graphics card is outfitted with 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM, with a memory bus width of 256 bits and a memory speed of up to 21 Gbps. It supports DLSS 3.0 and NVIDIA ACE technology, enhancing the performance of over a hundred AI applications.
The design features a triple-fan setup, including the sixth generation of the Torx fans, with staggered, ring-shaped blades that focus airflow into the heat sink. This arrangement is augmented by airflow guidance technology, a nickel-plated copper base at the heat sink, and specialized core heat pipes, all of which efficiently dissipate heat from the graphics card, ensuring stable operation. It provides three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1a port. The back of the card includes a metal reinforcement plate to prevent bending and deformation from prolonged use. Additionally, MSI includes a graphics card support bracket to prevent the card from sagging after installation.
