MSI Launches Cubi 5 12M Mini PC
MSI announced the launch of the MSI Cubi 5 12M Mini PC. It has a miniature body, a variety of processors to choose from, MSI’s exclusive software, and is equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 interface, designed to improve efficiency and productivity.
According to TechPowerup, Cubi 5 12M mini PC has an overall size of 124 x 124 x 53.7 mm and a weight of 1.4kg. The whole design is very compact, only 0.66L. Its processor can be selected from Intel Core i7-1255U (2P+8E), Core i5-1235U (2P+8E), or Core i3-1215U (2P+4E), using the Alder Lake-M chip with a TDP of 15W. Among them, the highest Core i7-1255U integrates the Iris Xe integrated graphics, with 96 EUs, the maximum turbo frequency of P-Core is 4.7 GHz, the maximum turbo frequency of E-Core is 3.5 GHz, and the L3 cache is 12MB.
Cubi 5 12M mini PC is equipped with two DDR4 memory slots (SO-DIMM), which can support up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory; has an M.2 slot (supports PCIe/SATA SSD), a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD; Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (support Bluetooth 5.2) or Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (support Bluetooth 5.3) wireless network card; equipped with two Ethernet interfaces, Realtek RTL8111H (1 Gbps) and RTL-8125BG-CG (2.5 Gbps); support three display outputs, one HDMI 2.0b interface, one DP 1.4 interface, and one Thunderbolt 4 interface; it also has two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and a 3.5mm audio jack; supports VESA mounts of 75 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 mm.
MSI said that the dual LAN design improves the security of confidential business documents, allowing users to connect to the Internet with one and the internal network with the other. This is further enhanced by TPM 2.0 encryption technology with the help of MSI Cloud Center. MSI Cloud Center allows users to transfer data between Cubi 5 12M mini PC and mobile phone within the same domain name and ensures the safe transmission of photos and data.
MSI did not provide a specific price and time to market.
