Minisforum launches NUCG5 mini PC

Minisforum announced the launch of the new NUCG5 mini PC, equipped with an Intel Core i5-1240P processor, equipped with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, aimed at edge, enterprise, and home users, with powerful functions and a reasonable price.

The overall size of the NUCG5 mini PC is 109.5 x 110.5 x 61.9 mm, and the design is also very compact, only 0.7L. Its Intel Core i5-1240P processor has 12 cores and 16 threads (4P+8E), using the Alder Lake-P chip. The L3 cache is 12MB, the maximum turbo frequency of P-Core is 4.40 GHz, and the maximum turbo frequency of E-Core is 3.3 GHz. It integrates the Iris Xe integrated graphic, has 80 EUs, the frequency is 1.3 GHz, and the TDP is 28W.

NUCG5 mini PC is equipped with two DDR4 memory slots (SO-DIMM), which support up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory; has an M.2 slot supporting PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD (up to 2TB); the M.2 2230 slot can be used to install Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connections; four 4K@60Hz displays can be realized through two HDMI 2.0 interfaces and two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces; the device is also equipped with three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A interfaces, one USB 2.0 interface, one 2.5 Gbps network port, one 3.5mm audio jack, etc.; the operating system supports Windows 11 Pro.

Different from some previous models, this time Minisforum does not provide a barebone system, and all of them are installed with memory and SSD. Minisforum offers two configurations, 16GB RAM+512GB SSD ($579) and 32GB RAM+512GB SSD ($629), which will start shipping in March.
