MSI is preparing its brand new Z790 Project Zero motherboard and the MEG MAESTRO 700L PZ PC case
This year, a significant highlight in the DIY market has been the emergence of “back-insertion hardware,” with manufacturers such as ASUS, Maxsun, Colorful, MSI, SAMA, and PCCOOLER successively launching such products, leading to an explosive surge in the consumer market in a short time. Among them, MSI has also introduced several products, though they are more tailored to the mainstream market, such as the recently released B760M PROJECT ZERO motherboard.
According to Wccftech, MSI is preparing a new back-insertion motherboard named “Z790 Project Zero,” which is positioned higher, incorporating numerous high-end motherboard designs. It features a color scheme of silver and black, with a brushed finish on the heat armor covering most of the motherboard area. It includes 4 DDR5 memory slots, 4 expansion slots (3 PCIe x16 and 1 PCIe x1), and 4 M.2 slots (1 PCIe 5.0 x4 and 3 PCIe 4.0 x4).
For the rear I/O, it is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a DP 1.4 port, a 2.5Gbps network card interface, as well as a set of audio jacks with Wi-Fi antenna connectors, and additionally, a BIOS flashback button.
To complement the Z790 Project Zero motherboard’s design, MSI has also prepared a matching MEG MAESTRO PZ case, addressing the needs of high-end platforms. This chassis boasts ample internal space, offering users the option to vertically mount the graphics card and easily accommodate a 420mm water cooling system. The front I/O provides two USB Type-C and one Type-A ports.
