Mozilla is currently repairing bugs in Firefox 82
Firefox 82 has been released to a large number of users. The new stable version brings many improvements and optimizations and improves the stability and performance of the browser.
However, this stable version looks unstable, because some users have many problems after the upgrade, including account login exceptions and printing-related problems.
The Firefox browser development team stated that they are currently aware of these issues and are working hard to fix them. At the same time, it will suspend the push of new versions to users until the repair is completed.
Previously, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge have already experienced log-in problems, that is, closing the browser and opening it after logging in may require logging into various accounts again.
The problems encountered by Firefox are similar to those of Google and Microsoft Edge. It seems that they are all caused by application data hosting. Closing the browser will automatically clear its data.
After the data is cleared, all kinds of websites including Firefox’s own account are all logged out. After the log-in is lost, the user opens the browser and has to log in again and then repeats this.
The Firefox development team stated that this problem is relatively rare, so they are preparing a repair program and will promptly push it to users to solve the problem after the repair is completed.
The print preview and print functions of the new version of Firefox are also abnormal. When the content is printed and previewed, a layout error will occur and the style will appear abnormal.
However, even if the pattern is not abnormal, it cannot be printed, because the actual printed content disappears when printing, and the printer prints a blank paper without any content.
The investigation found that the problem is related to the related changes in the previous version of Firefox. Currently, the related code has been rolled back so that the data can be transmitted to the printer.
The main problem of the print preview is that Firefox seems to not handle the margins correctly, which may cause the content on the side of the page to be squeezed out of the frame in the preview state.
This problem has also been investigated and confirmed, and a repair program is being prepared. After most of the problems are resolved, Firefox will push the repaired version to users.
