Minisforum launches UM690 mini PC: Powered by AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX

Minisforum announced the launch of the UM690 mini PC, equipped with a new AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, integrated Radeon 680M graphics card, support for dual-channel DDR5 memory, and PCIe 4.0 SSD, equipped with a USB4 port. This is Minisforum’s first product to use the Ryzen 6000 series processors, code-named Rembrandt, with more powerful performance.

AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, based on Zen 3+ architecture, manufactured with TSMC 6nm process, with a base clock of 3.3 GHz and a boost clock of 4.9 GHz. It also integrates a Radeon 680M graphics card based on the RDNA 2 architecture, equipped with 12 CUs, which is a breakthrough improvement compared to the previous Ryzen 5000 series, providing better productivity performance. Optimized to handle resource-intensive tasks like graphic design, 3D rendering, and video editing.

The UM690 mini PC is equipped with two DDR5 memory slots (SO-DIMM), and supports up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 memory;

equipped with an M.2 2280 slot that supports PCIe 4.0 x4, and a 2.5-inch hard drive that supports SATA 6Gbps, which is convenient for users to expand storage; M.2 2230 slot supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules; has a 2.5Gbps network card; equipped with two HDMI ports and one USB4 port, it can realize two 4K@60Hz plus one 8K@60Hz display output; has one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio port; pre-installed Windows 11 Pro operating system.

The UM690 barebones start at $499, 16GB RAM + 512GB storage kit for $649, 32GB RAM + 512GB storage kit for $729, 64GB RAM + 512GB storage kit for $869, and shipping starts in mid-December.
