Minisforum launches NPB5 Mini PC
Minisforum has unveiled the Venus series NPB5 mini PC, a fresh arrival on the market. It boasts the power of Intel’s 13th generation Core processor, supported by dual Thunderbolt 4 and twin Ethernet ports. Coupling DDR5 memory with PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, this device effortlessly handles four 4K displays. This affordably priced, mid-range office mini host is a compact powerhouse for your professional needs.
Echoing the design of its predecessor, the NPB7, the NPB5 presents itself in a clean, silver hue, with a remarkably compact form factor. It utilizes an innovative active SSD cooling design with vents on the side for effective heat dissipation from the memory and SSD. This practical design also allows for effortless upgrades, enabling users to swiftly replace the memory and SSD by merely pressing the backplate.
According to TechPowerup, the NPB5 mini PC is fitted with the Intel Core i5-13500H processor with an 18M Cache. Boost Clock up to 4.70 GHz. The integrated Xe graphics by Rui torch comes with 80 EUs and operates at a frequency of 1.45 GHz, with a TDP of 45W.
The NPB5 mini PC is equipped with two DDR5 memory slots (SO-DIMM), supporting up to 64GB of DDR5-5200 memory. It houses an M.2 2280 slot compatible with PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs and a 2.5-inch hard drive bay, supporting 6.0Gb/s SATA 3.0 interface devices. Additional connectivity is provided by an M.2 2230 slot for installing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. With two HDMI ports and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, the NPB5 facilitates four 4K@60Hz displays.
