MINISFORUM launches BD770i Mini-ITX motherboard
Recently, MINISFORUM has unveiled in its overseas store a motherboard boasting dual PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, designated as the BD770i Mini-ITX. This board features the AMD R7 7745HX processor and is equipped with two M.2 slots compatible with PCIe 5.0. It retails at $399.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX processor encompasses 8 cores and 16 threads, built on the Zen 4 architecture. It is fabricated using TSMC’s 5nm process with a base frequency of 3.6 GHz and a turbo boost reaching 5.1 GHz. In performance metrics, it surpasses its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 6900HX, by roughly 20%. Additionally, it incorporates a Radeon 610M GPU based on the RDNA 2 architecture, albeit with just two CU units. While its graphical prowess isn’t overpowering, it can support 8K video output, targeting primarily multimedia and office professionals.
The BD770i Mini-ITX motherboard proffers two DDR4 SODIMM laptop memory slots, accommodating up to two 32GB memory sticks with a 5200MHz frequency. It is armed with two M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 SSD slots, complete with active cooling solutions. The CPU is pre-fitted with a downward-pressing cooler, though it requires a separate installation of a 12cm fan. Furthermore, the board includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics card slot and an M.2 2230 Key-E wireless card slot.
In terms of other interfaces, the BD770i Mini-ITX motherboard features a front-facing USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps), a CPU fan power supply, and two system fan power pins. The rear I/O ports comprise two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10Gbps), a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (10Gbps) with display output support, two USB 2.0 Type-A (480Mbps), an HDMI 2.0, a DisplayPort 1.4, a 2.5G Ethernet port, paired WiFi antenna ports, and three audio jacks.
