Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple may reduce iPhone Q1 shipments by about 10% due to coronavirus

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in the latest report that in the first quarter of 2020, mobile phone brands and industry chains are facing three potential risks:

  • China ’s mobile phone shipments will be lower than market expectations due to the US-China trade war
  • “replacement demand from 5G smartphones is lower than brands’ expectations.”
  • iPhone supply was affected by the coronavirus, so shipments were lower than expected.

In addition, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said that Apple‘s upcoming products include iPhone SE 2, iPad Pro and MacBook series with scissors keyboard. The current coronavirus epidemic could disrupt Apple’s supply chain, and delay the launch of these products.
