Microsoft will add more convenient assistive features to its Microsoft 365 service
At the recent Microsoft Ability Summit, Microsoft revealed that it will add digital assistant functionality to its Microsoft 365 service, making it easier for users to produce content and increase work productivity.
Prior to this, Microsoft had already provided many convenient assistive accessories for its Surface devices and Xbox game consoles for people with disabilities. At the same time, the Windows operating system has also continued to add many assistive features that make it easy for people with disabilities to use their products.
In the Seeing AI app, which utilizes Microsoft’s Azure cloud service platform technology, image recognition, and other environment-awareness methods are used to assist blind or visually impaired individuals in navigating directions with panoramic sound guidance. Additionally, the app can describe the content of the scene in front of them through text or speech, enabling visually impaired individuals to smoothly understand the road conditions ahead.
Microsoft stated that it will use artificial intelligence technology to promote more assistive features and make it easier for users to use their service products. The company is scheduled to hold an event called “the Future of Work with AI” on March 16 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, during which it is expected to explain more service and application products that combine artificial intelligence.
