Microsoft released the KB5000842 preview update to solve a large number of problems

Microsoft today pushed the KB5000842 preview update to users of the Windows 10 Release Preview Channel. This update is used to solve many known problems in the system and improve some functions. After installation, the system version is upgraded to Windows 10 Build 19042.906 (20H2).

It needs to be emphasized that the problems solved by such preview updates will be pushed to Windows 10 stable version users for various fixes on the monthly routine update day.

That is, the stable version of the cumulative update released next month will directly include these fixes, so Microsoft’s update log will no longer show these fixes at that time.

Considering that the poor quality of Microsoft’s cumulative updates often brings a variety of new problems, as always, we remind everyone not to install preview updates to avoid problems.
