Microsoft MVPs are invited to participate in a virtual Surface briefing event on August 12
As we previously reported, Microsoft will indeed officially release the first dual-screen device with the Android system Surface Duo in August. This is the first time that Microsoft has released a device equipped with the Android system. The development progress is much higher than that of previous Microsoft.
Recently, a third-party Microsoft observer, Paul Thurrott said that Microsoft has now invited some of the most valuable experts to participate in an online event on August 12. It is reported that the main content of this event will be about Surface Duo. Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals (MVP)s, refers to those experts who have one or more of Microsoft technical expertise and have made outstanding contributions in Microsoft’s related technical communities.
Microsoft MVPs were invited to attend a virtual Surface briefing, presumably for Duo, on August 12.

People familiar with the matter said that the Surface Duo will officially go on sale in the fourth week of this month, which is the end of the month. Consumers can order immediately after the Surface Duo is released, and then wait for the delivery date to arrive.
Earlier, another leaker said that Surface Duo will have the carrier version of the US telecom operator AT&T. The default search engine of the device is Google search instead of Microsoft’s Bing search. Many Microsoft first-party applications are pre-installed. The desktop launcher is Microsoft Launcher.
