Microsoft launches Visual Studio Online version

A few years ago Microsoft launched an online service called Visual Studio Online, but then the service was renamed and integrated into the Azure service. At the time, Visual Studio Online mainly provided development collaboration tools, including high-performance channels, free private repositories, control panels, and more. It also provides developers with a wider range of automated and continuous testing services, but this service, which has been renamed and integrated, has nothing to do with Visual Studio. Until now, Microsoft announced the return of the Visual Studio Online brand and services, and this time is no longer a service integrated into Azure cloud computing.

Visual Studio Online will now be a Web-based companion for Visual Studio tools and the Visual Studio Code code editor. Developers can access the platform from anywhere on the network to develop anywhere in the world. The purpose of the service is to improve the productivity of developers.

Of course, based on network services, it also needs the support of cloud services. For developers, saving the code to the cloud can achieve local and network synchronization. After synchronization, you can either edit it locally using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code or edit it with Visual Studio Online.

Visual Studio Online currently offers a limited preview service, and it is unclear whether the service requires a paid subscription or other restrictions.
